First Tuesday's goal as a mission directive is to implement a culture of giving back within businesses, challenging leaders and their employees to dedicate time and resources one workday per month toward serving others. We aim to foster unity, show our community that businesses care, and catalyze a transformative change in how business and private industry perceives and practices service. Our youth are on a mission! On MLK weekend, they put their faith into action in Baton Rouge—serving, loving, and making a difference in the community.
Love Your Neighbor Van
Homelessness remains a critical challenge in Baton Rouge. As of September 2024, approximately 400 individuals each day were seeking a shelter bed. Many also experience food insecurity, particularly on weekends when resources are limited.
To help fill this gap, a mobile breakfast service runs on Sunday mornings, delivering meals to various locations and ensuring that people in need have access to sustenance when other resources are unavailable.
If you would like to volunteer—whether by riding in the van, preparing food, or organizing supplies—please reach out:
