First Tuesday

First Tuesday's goal as a mission directive is to implement a culture of giving back within businesses, challenging leaders and their employees to dedicate time and resources one workday per month toward serving others. We aim to foster unity, show our community that businesses care, and catalyze a transformative change in how business and private industry perceives and practices service.  Revive 225 is a ministry out of First United Methodist Church, that helps love our neighbors through home repair projects free of charge.  Please consider volunteering today.

Our youth are on a mission! On MLK weekend, they put their faith into action in Baton Rouge—serving, loving, and making a difference in the community.

Love Your Neighbor Van

 Homelessness in Baton Rouge is a pressing issue. Approximately 400 individuals daily were looking for a shelter bed as of September 2024. Many face food insecurity, especially on weekends. A mobile breakfast service on Sunday mornings can fill this gap by delivering meals to various locations, ensuring sustenance when other resources are unavailable. 

If you are interested in riding in the van,  preparing food, or organizing supplies, please email van@firstmethodist.org.
